Corporate Secretaryship, a course which is the most sought after is a variation of the commerce programme, had its inception in the year 1990. It serves individuals and organizations seeking access to the highest quality business education as a means for achieving intellectual and professional goals. The department strives to provide knowledge and experiences and opportunity for the students and the staff to dedicate themselves in a co-operative effort to identify and solve the problems in the global arena. It promotes and develops scientific methods of teaching and encourages conduct of seminars, gues lectures, workshop and conferences on subjects of professional interest for corss-fertilization of ideas to professional growth. The curriculum with this regard is well designed to promote industry institute interface both at the UG and PG level with special emphasis on Institutional training. To the credit of this course the Institute of Company Secretaries of India offers paper wise exemptions to the students of M.Com. (Corporate Secretaryship) at the intermediate level.
