The Master of Computer Applications Department was started in 1999 and it strives to offer quality education in the field of Information Technology. The MCA course is affiliated to University of Madras and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) Approval No: F. No: TN-58/MCP-CS/98 dated September 23, 1998 and the course got its Autonomy status in the year 2006. The dedicated services rendered by the department to the student community for more than two decades have nurtured numerous young and perspective women IT professionals. The Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programme is a two-year course from the academic year 2020-21, as per the latest guidelines issued by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) and UGC. The Department is having ambitious objective of developing professional expertise and skilled women power in Information Technology. In consistent with this objective, high priorities have been placed on effective teaching and learning.
Over the period of time, department has progressed at a rapid pace with its infrastructural facilities, advanced syllabi and proficient staff who are a part of various development activities. Department is enriched with high-end systems in computer labs with the able support of Campus WiFi, high bandwidth 1:1 dedicated Internet facility, ICT (audio-visual) room and centralized library. Department offers an excellent academic environment to boost complete personality development to increase the capabilities and confidence of both the teachers and students to take-up the challenges of the dynamic socio-technical world. In this era of technological explosion, the department is dedicated to maintain a high standard of excellence through quality, technology and innovation.
